Garrin Davis and Kenya Brown welcomed Gervonta “Tank” Davis into the world on November 7, 1994, in Baltimore, Maryland. A difficult upbringing was had by both Gervonta and his professional boxing sibling, Demetris Fenwick. Living in one of West Baltimore’s most criminalised neighbourhoods, they also had two cocaine-addicted parents. This indicated that the children were living from foster care to group home and that the parents were in and out of jail.

He was unaware that a shift in circumstances was imminent. Tank originally began training with Calvin Ford, who would go on to become Davis’ long-time coach, at the age of five at the Upton Boxing Centre. With 206-15 as his final record, Gervonta had an extremely successful amateur career. Together with other accomplishments, he also won the 2012 National Golden Gloves Championship, three consecutive Silver Gloves Championships, two gold medals from the National Junior Olympics, two National Police Athletic League Championships, two Ringside World Championships, and more.

On the professional circuit, Gervonta “Tank” Davis is still unstoppable. Throughout his career, he has triumphed in three different world championships, holding the titles of IBF Super Featherweight Champion, WBA (super) Super Featherweight Champion, and WBA (regular) Lightweight Champion. His most well-known accomplishments include being a three-time world champion, dominating three different weight classes, and being one of the finest boxers in the sport today. He is also well-known for his hitting strength, with a 93% knockout %.
